In November I sent in my broken iPod to Circuit City for repair per my extended warranty directions.in December, I called to check on the status of the work being done and was told that there was a back log of repairs and that they were running behind but a replacement should be sent out to me in early January. After not receiving it when promised, I started calling the 800 number every other day to continually check status. Always got the same story — still back logged. Then the announcement came on January 16 that all stores were closing. I immediately called the same number I've been calling all along and was greeted with an automated message letting me know that 'Circuit City is now closed.' This was at 10am, 12pm, 3pm and 5pm on a weekday. I went to the website and it's been shut down. I have no way to contact the company now to find out about getting my iPod back. I fear it is gone forever — which is wrong because I paid for it (as well as the extended warranty). I would even take it back broken and have another vendor fix for me. But I can't get ahold of anyone at all to help me. There was a mention of a gift card being issued in leiu of the iPod being returned because of the back log but it was never approved. Plus, even if they did send an in-store credit, the stores will all be closed up by the time I get it. I'm hoping that you can at least get me in touch with someone who can get my iPod back to me — broken or fixed. Thank you.
