Damages to my house, (Vandalizing my house)

The following is the inquiery I have made to this business, it explaines damages to our house which have been done by their installer.

Dear Sir or Madam,

As you already know, during your work on new ductwork at our house, which delayed 8 days for completion from the day we were promised, (you promised us to complete the job within 3 days) your installers have caused and left behind many damages to my house. During the ductwork installation, your company staff damaged the living room ceiling (by stepping on the sheet rock), as well as the bedroom wall and ceiling (by installing new vent and ducts), the roof vent by installing swamp cooler stand and swap cooler and cut the Garage seal coating by preparation. I have brought these to your and our Real Estate Agent attention before on multiple occasions.

On bedroom ceiling, the location for installation of vent was cut incorrectly, and therefore causing a gap between the vent and the ceiling. The area was sealed without uninstalling the vent. The gap was not repaired, and never painted to match the existing color. The same damage is present to the wall next to the heating unit closet. During the installation a nail has damaged the wall. The wall was patched but not painted to match the existing color.

On the roof, the installer flattened louvers of the vent and vent was out of adjustment, currently making loud noises while turning. Your installer has adjusted the louvers but not the vent itself; which still continues to make noise when turning. I also have to add, as per Neil, your installer, the swamp cooler is installed and attached to plywood on the roof and not to the structure of the roof! Which is considered a poor job and hazardous with potential risk for falling on any one.

In the former living room, your installer stepped on sheet rock and broke the sheet rock. You sent Neil, your installer to fix the sheet rock on Tuesday October 28th, but he failed to repair it appropriately. I have advised him that sheet rock is heavy and will not stay up if it is not screwed to any structural member. He refused to repair the sheet rock properly.in addition, he failed to take the responsibility for matching the paint. He indicated it is not his responsibility to fix this.

I have informed Mr. James Hepker, our real estate agent, who visited our house for a walkthrough after the installation of new heating units / duct works and he also observed and admitted to the damages done by your installers. He kindly offered his mediation in this matter; unfortunately you have not cooperated with him either and refused any responsibility for repair. I am afraid to notify you that this is consider as “vandalism”.

As a courtesy to your company, I am sending you this notice to inform you in writing of my intention to take legal action against the damages left behind in my house. You are given 15 days from the receipt of this notice to properly and expeditiously repair the above-mentioned damages.
