On September 21 I gave Roy Lebeau & Daryl Adams of Wheeler Constructions 7,000.00 of their first 1/3 to start my home and was told that the money would be used to repair my roof and floors.
The roof was not properly re-decked. They placed new plywood over the damaged plywood! Leaving noticeable slopes in the roof.
TEN Days Later On October 1 Roy Lebeau & Daryl Adams of Wheeler Constructions requested the rest of their first payment I wrote a check out to Daryl Adams in the amount of $11,333.00 and was told that it would be uses for the frame, to replace the damaged 2x4s and siding as well as install the windows.
The windows were not installed properly 4 of them were damages & the windows in the front are too big & shouldnt have been instaled (the light switches couldnt go in the proper place.)
The porch roof had a slanted appearance.
An air conditioning vent was nailed on the front of my home as a vent.
The front & back walls were not framed properly on the inside leaving no space for them to be insolated
No 2x4s were installed around the doors to strongly secure the locks.
The same entry locks were put on both units
FIFTEEN days later On October15 Roy Lebeau & Daryl Adams of Wheeler Construction requested to receive their second 1/3 in full I wrote the check out to Roy Lebeau In the amount of 18,333.00 and was told that it would be used on the inside of the home to install my tiles as well as purchase & install the Kitchen Sinks, Counter Tops, Cabinets, Bathroom Sinks, Inside doors, and Mirrors in which I picked out at Loews with Roy Lebeau. He was also suppose to pay the sub-contracted Electrician & Plummer who by the way was only charging him approximately $2,000 each
After giving him an $18,333.00 check
a damage tub and used toilet had been installed on one side of the home
The electric was incomplete,
The sheet rock & a. C units had not been bought
And i still hadnt received my bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks, counter tops, cabinets, and mirrors in which i picked out at loews with roy lebeau.
TWENTY FOUR days later On November 8 Roy Lebeau & Daryl Adams of Wheeler Construction requested to receive 1/2 of their last payment implying that it was to fix the slopes in the roof, install my A. C units as well as purchase my paint I gave Roy Lebeau a cashiers check in the amount of 9,000 and a few days later the construction came to a complete stop. No one had worked on my home for approximately three weeks. The first week of December I called Roy Lebeau and Daryl Adams of Wheeler Constructions demanding that they continue to work on my home. I was told by Roy Lebeau that the sheet rock and insulation would soon be bought and installed once the electric was inspected
The sheet rock was not hung properly, they started installing it from the sides instead of the roof & the electric work had not been inspected!
And no insulation or fireproof plywoow installed between the two units
THE SOCKETS WERE TOO FAR IN THE WALL INSTEAD OF BEING LINED UP WITH THE SHEET ROCK
On December 14 I told Roy Lebeau and Daryl Adams with Wheeler Construction how unsatisfied I was with the quality of their work. I had given them $9,000.00 more than what they were supposed to have and too many things were incomplete. The situation was getting stressful. I could no longer deal with everything that was going wrong so I reported Wheeler Construction to the Better Business Bureau. A few weeks later I was notified by a man name Lester Wheeler who claimed to be the owner of Wheeler Construction. Mr. Wheeler claimed to have no idea Roy Lebeau and Daryl Adams were working under his companys name but Roy Lebeau insisted he knew
After finding out that Roy Lebeau & Darryl Adams lied about being the owner & manager of Wheeler Construction I decided that I no longer wanted them working on my home. I asked to receive my 9,000 back and they claim that the money went into the house. If those 9,000 went into my home why were so many things incomplete? And another thing. The work that was incomplete & the items i didnt receive were supposed to be funded with my 18,333.00 payment! So where did that go?
