On Sept 26 I found out that my citibank account was frozen because I went to the supermarket for groceries and the cashier swiped my card and it said "declined". I went home and called my bank that's when I found out that someone went into my account with a restraining order. The rep gave me a control # and the telephone number. I called them up on Sept 27 and spoke to a lady name Ms. Davis and I explained the situation to her. She said that I owe $1942.00 and that I need to pay the full amount. I asked her who I owe this money to and she said a MCI Telecom she asked me my address and SOC-SEC# which I gave to her. She asked me to send proof of my address from 2004 any utility bill and my lease and the copy of my D/L.By Monday September 29 I faxed everything I found in my house from 2004. She said she was going to review my account and call me back which she never did.By October 2 she faxed a release form to the bank to unfreeze my account without even calling me to tell me that everything was cleared and that it was an error on their end. I called them up again everyday asking her when she was going to tell me what was going on. She said that my account was been released and that they made a mistake. Few days later I received a letter from them with a fax cover letter that was sent to Citibank asking them to release my account stating that it was an error and to refund me any bank fee. Until this day I have not received my service charge of $125.00. On October 10th, I called one of the lawyers name I found on the letter I received from them and left a message, few minutes later I received a call back from Jennifer DiMarzo. I explained the situation to her again and she asked me for my bank statement to be fax to her. She suppousely spoke to her supervisor and she asked me for my address because they were going to cut a check and send it to me. I'm still waiting for my check. I did some research and found a lot of complaints about this people. I just want my money back and for them to re-assure me that they won't do the same to me in two years or so and also to take that debt off my credit report. How these people went to my account and how they presented papers to a judge when I was not there to defend myself. I need help and I don't have money to hire a lawyer.
