I ordered my mother a nice pair of shoes off of the Catalog Favorites website in July. The very next month, I received a random charge of $11.95 on my card statement. I thought that maybe I had purchased something with my card and just didn't remember. However, this morning, I happened to be looking through my checkbook and card statements and realized that I had been charged the same amount of money in September and October (this month) at the exact same time of the month.
I went to my bank, and they told me to call the company with the number provided on my statement. I did, and I was told that they could only refund me the charge from this month, but not for the months beforehand. I also took the liberty of canceling my membership through the number that I had called. I'm hoping that will work.
When I got home from the bank, I decided to act on my hunch and go onto the Catalog Favorite website, and sure enough, an advertisement for Shopping Essentials was right on the page. Needless to say, I am livid. I will not be using their company ever again.
