This is the letter I sent Cedar Valley Teddy Bears concerning the two puppies I purchased. I received No response from this letter. Note that the website name for Harley was Malic and for Daisy was Katlyn.
Harley-weight 4.6 pounds - Lymph nodes are slightly enlarged, abdomen distended, and yes he does have blood in the stool and he gave him Albon for a parasite. Stress of being 18 hours in a cage of excrement could have been the cause of the parasite "coming out" but had the puppy not already had the parasite it would not have been an issue. He has an underbite-mild that I notice you did not mention and could not be determined by picture on web.
Daisy-weight 4 pounds - Abdomen distended slightly and yes, she had blood in the stool also and she too was given Albon. Again, even the stress would not have created the parasite, it had to have been there already. Daisy too has an underbite, hers is moderate, that again was not mentioned, and could not be determined by the picture.
Your website is very misleading. It states that they stay about 3-4 pounds full grown
This is not a true statement if the puppies are already 4 pounds and over at only 10 weeks and prior to delivery, These puppies are not as advertised, and rather than driving the puppies at so long a distance, in the future it might be kinder and less stressful to them to put them on a plane where they could reach their desitination in a matter of a few hours even though they might be in cargo with other animals. It would be better than so many hours in a dirty carrier with their own waste. (Apx 24 hours)
Your website NOW states:
Weight Predictions are just that. No ONE Person can tell you FOR SURE what a puppy is going to weigh and if they do 99.9% end up being wrong...

I find it very interesting that this statement was not on your website when I copied it to a word document created on June 11th and when I first signed a contract with you. I would understand even this statement, though it was not on the website at the time of contract... Had they not already been 4 pounds when you delivered them. Over 4 pounds would not have been a prediction at this point, it would be a fact. We spoke and emailed many times and not one time did you tell me that these puppies were not going to be as small as you advertised them.
Nothing on your website tells me that I would get a 4 pound and an almost 5 pound puppy at time of elivery... And I and anyone else would consider your site not only misleading but false.
Condition of puppies at meeting:
*Incredible stench that took a bath, baby powder, and a day in clean air to eliminate *in a cage full of excrement. Your website states...
DOOR TO DOOR: We are more than happy to deliver by car right to your door! Or if you would like we can meet you half way Delivering by car is a safe way to get your precious puppy directly to you. You puppy will get to rest and go out to go potty. Your puppy will also be the only puppy in the car so your new puppy will be isolated from other puppies that could be caring contagious diseases, fleas, or mites.
... Again, this is totally false, possibly, they were not walked for their potty times, and were forced to be in the cage with their excrement because they were not walked. Even if they had an accident in the cage, it should not have been left in that cage with them.
Website states
Toy, Outfit, Leash, Collar, Blanket, Treats, Food. Even though this was for air delivery, which was what the last agreement was before you changed it back to driving... There was no collar or leash. Outfit, not important. The leash and collar, however, would have made it easier for you to have let them walk and not potty in cage.
No, I would never recommend your company for a Shorkie, or any other breed. Since your contract states I cannot contact any of your breeders, I will have all contact with you, and so far, I have found that you do not live up to your website... The puppies are precious, but, you should recognize that they are not what I paid for.
I paid the going price for a Shorkie that would stay about 3-4 pounds, and a premium cost for the transportation of those puppies ($700) Based on the statements on your website, and the condition of these puppies upon receipt, I do feel that it would not be out of order for you to refund some portion of this cost.
