Original deal not in writing, but she stated that she wanted two female puppies if her dog had any she would pay a stud fee. We verbally agreed to this. No stud fee amount was mentioned. She stated that she wanted two female puppies, one for her and one for her daughter.
17 April her dog Missy had four puppies, three females and one male.
18 April Jeanne called me of the news and I stated, "oh good I can have a female puppy and you get your two female puppies." I told her good now I can give a female puppy to my friend for payment for the dog she gave me.
15 June I went over to see the puppies. I told Jeanne that I wanted pick of the litter female or a stud fee. She insisted that I hold the male puppy and that in two weeks the puppy will get it's shot and HE will be ready for me to take home.
16 June I called Jeanne to ask for clarification of her insisting that I take the male puppy. She told me that she originally told me that she wanted all of the female puppies that her dog would have and that I said whatever about the puppies she wanted. This she stated meant that I was to get the pick of the litter after the three females, which in this case is a male puppy. I never wanted a male puppy and I told her this.

20 June Jeanne emails me at work to tell me that the MALE puppy will be ready for me to pick up in a couple of weeks. I emailed her back and told her that I didn't want a male puppy and that I wanted a stud fee equal to the female she is selling of $950. I told her that the fee is due on 29 June. Hoping for her to nogotiate a stud fee. She writes back that I never told her that I wanted a female puppy nor a stud fee and that she was going to pay me only $125 for a stud fee. How does wanting two female puppies turn into wanting three female puppies to selling 2 of them when she stated that one was for her and one for her daughter.
23 June Jeanne emails me stating that she has been trying to sell the male puppy and that she was going to surprise me with a female puppy. Isn't this contradictory. She is going to send me $125 for stud fee. I check with other breeders and stud fee for a Yorkshire Terrier starts out at $500.
28 June Jeanne emails me again at work and tells me that I am not getting a male puppy that I didn't know how much the puppies sell for, and that I was to take of leave the $125 for stud fee.
Standard weight of a Yorkshire Terrier AKC is 7 pounds, Jeanne's dog Missy is 10 pounds. My male is 5 pounds. The smaller the dog the more money one gets for the breed. I think she saw $ signs when she found out that her dog had three female puppies.
I recommend people who want to breed their pets to keep every option in writing prior to any services rendered.
