I noticed a charge on my August Verizon bill for $19.99 and called Verizon for an explanation. They told me it was third party billing by ESBI for web services alledgedly provided by Internet Business Advisors. When I told the Verizon representative that these services were never ordered and asked for a credit, she refused and referred me to ESBI. I phoned ESBI and told them the services were not ordered and asked for a credit. They said I had to contact the actual service provider so I contacted Internet Business Advisors and went through the same story. They had my wife's name and an old email address, stating that a confirmation email had been sent to her. I told them my wife had no need for their services and that she did not order them, nor did she receive their email. They agreed to cancel the account, but would not give me a credit.
Yesterday, I opened my Verizon bill and a second monthly charge for $19.99 was listed under Enhanced Services.
I paid the first Verizon bill, less the $19.99 plus taxes and intend to do the same this month. Verizon is charging me a late fee for last month's non payment of the fraudulent charges.
