It seems obvious that a lot of us have been ripped off by this company.in my case, it was a credit card that is never used, so I never noticed the charge on my account until now (6 months).
I spoke with my credit card company, and asked how this could happen given that the credit card has never been used. She stated that MWI must have a "code" that allows them to charge credit cards without having the actual account number. I then asked her how she knows it is a legitimate charge, and she stated that the companies using the code must have verbal consent from the card holder, and they trust the company to get it (yeah right!). She mentioned that she has put a "block" on my account which will prevent the code from being used in the future. You may want to do that (actual terms may be different depending on the credit card).
In this case, I know we never agreed to anything from these scammers. The first thing that should happen is that the credit card companies need to ensure MWI's "code" is revoked! I'm going to send to note to my credit card's bank to let them know this is going on.
On a closing note, I called MWI's two 800 numbers, waited on hold for over an hour, and when I finally got someone on the phone, they laughed and hung up on me.
Yet another reason to get rid of telemarketing!
