Heartless, i worked for k&b just 3 weeks, they first told me they would get me home the first load to get the rest of my gear that didnt happen till 3 weeks later. When i did get home they wanted me to go out the next day i told them i wouldnt untill i get my full 2 days off. Within those 2 days i found out my mother had a stroke in ia... The 2nd day i found out from my sister in ft. Wth tx. That things werent lookin good for my mother and they wanted to know how soon i could leave to go to ia. To be with them. I told her im on my way as soon as i stop in ft. Wth. To ride with my brother and his wife because i didnt have enough $ to drive my self up their and him and i would split the cost of the trip. I called [josh my disp.] the day i was leaveing to let him know what was goin on, but he was gone for the day already so i told nite disp... So the next morning i called again to let him know and he was like he didnt know anything about it. He only asked where the trk. Was and why i hadnt went to go pickup the load. So i explaned to him i was in kansas on my way to desmoines ia. And where the trk. Was and that it was in a secure place [at my home in tx.]and that it will be ok where it was. He told me that he will have to talk with v.P. Of opirations to see what they wanted to do about this.
I told hime ok let me know. The day my mom had passed the v.P. Had called me that morning to ask me when i planed on returning and the were going to send someone after the trk... I just couldnt beleave what i was hearin i was thinking can this humanbing be this heart less to not even ask about my mom or how am i doing but his bottom line is the $ that trk. Is looseing... I cant beleave companys out their hire people like this. So i asked about my pay and he told me i had to take that up with josh, so i did and he told me that he would have to check on it and call me back. Didnt here anything till i called him a couple days later on my way back home. Now the time i found out they were gonna get the trk. I called the person that was watching my house and asked him if he would go out and get my gear out of it so they wouldnt throw my stuff in the trash, and he did. So the next day i get a call from them askin where the permit book was? I told them the guy i had take my gear out probly grabbed it too. They said ok just mail it back so their wouldnt be a charge of[$600.00]to me. So i called my guy and asked hime if he would find the permit book and mail it to them, he said no problem and did. So when i get home i called josh to find out where my check was and he asked when i was coming back to work and if i was they would find a way to get me back to s. Siouxcity ne. I told him im not because of the way they were over my mothers passing and how heartless they were. He tells me they were gonna keep the check for them sending a raider down to pickup the trk. And other expences that might acoure. Now remimber i had no $ when i left my wife and i still have house payments, food, bills, ect... To take care of and my check from k&b would have take in care of this. No, they took my miles which would have been about 2300 miles, and paid me min. Wage [$5.75 hr.]... And still shorted me $36.00... Now i know from time to time things get rough but this is just wrong... I worked for the $ i deserve what i worked for. I did everything they asked for, and still got ripped off. This company has only been in busness for a little over 20yrs but they keep doing drivers like this they wont make it another 20yrs. I dont wish bad things on people, but you do bad things to them you get what you deserve. K&b heartless in s. Sioux city ne...
