About a month ago I got an email regarding foreclosed homes in my area. My interest was caught since I had thought about buying foreclosed homes for investment and to live in.
The original offer was for $10 for a "kit" that would illuminate how the world of foreclosures worked. I reviewed the material to find that there was absolutely nothing that could not be discovered by some good old common sense. I placed the package aside and never gave it another thought.
Now I check my credit card statement and discover a charge for $297! After trying all day to get through to them on the phone I finally gave up and filled out the paperwork to contest the charge.
These people are operating a major scam and taking advantage of us. There was never a mention of the $297 charge. I read everything associated with the "offer" and this was not part of the verbage used by this so-called company.
If you have also been a victim of these people make sure you report it as well. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and we need to squeak really loud.
