Commited Action Credit Card Document Fraud against me, harrased me

Warning!!! Keep your credit reports each time you have one or 3 reviwed for 7 to 10 years just like taxes! Here is why:

I had a credit card with a bank in CO. The FDIC conducted an investigation and took control of the accounts and completed their job in the most upstanding professionalism imaginable. The FDIC told me my actual balance, as they had done so with all other accounts. I entered an agreement to pay off my balance in 2 payments, and sent the first one in. The next month I received an invoice (bill) for what appeared to be the remaining balance, with a monthly minimum payment at 18% APR with the balance listed as a "purchase". Hence, every invoice (bill) which had a late fee was listed this way.

Here is the fraud: i never received an offer of credit via usps mail, i never filled out a request for a action credit card postcard or brochure. I did not have a computer and did not know if they even had a website. I still do not know if they have a website, nor do i care.

I had been going through homebuyer classes in mid 1998. And naturally had my credit report pulled as part of the process.

I had my credit report pulled again in august 16,1999 by experian and september 8,1999 by transunion.
Experian lists bestbank of colorado as being acquired by the fdic with my account number and all other pertinant reports.

Then bankfirst purchsed my account from the fdic. Transunion deleted bestbank info due to my request and for being acquired by the fdi; thus, becoming defunct.

Bestbank reported to transunion by july 1999 that i had a credit card revolving account; that this account was opened and closed in july 1999; that i had a balance of $163; that i had a credit limit of $200; minimum payment $20; the account was undesignated; that this was cancelled by the credit grantor; that as of 7-1999 i paid or paying as agreed in proir 1 month from date closed.

I called them when i received the first bill—outraged! I questioned them with scrutiny over every detail, the agreement with the fdic and they admitted that is who they purchased my account from. Bankfirst reps stood firm that i had a credit card account with them etc... Etc...

By keeping my credit reports i have both account numbers from the defunct bestbank and the bankfirst account.

Bankfirst kept billing me monthly with interest. Bankfirst refused to send documentation or a letter that they purchased my account regarding bestbank. Who knows? Maybe the guys who incorperated bestbak turned around and formed bankfirst???

My experian credit report dated august 16,1999 shows that bankfirst na po box 5052; sioux falls, sd 57117 did inquire and request my credit report in 7-1999

While i continued to dispute bankfirst's claim and i refused to pay any interest what-so-ever i received a letter 2-1 stating: my action card account is past due of the amount shown above. This amount shown was the original amount of my second payment back in august 1999 for bestbank (defunct by then) that i agreed to with the fdic. All these months bankfirst argued with me that this was not my amount due. The letter 2-1 continued that my failure to respond to our repeated request for payment indicates a clear unwillingness to resolve my delinquency and because of that severity bankfirst will be forced to charge off the account as bad debt. Well, this got my ire—unbeknownst to them i already knew what they reported on my credit report. I called the collection mgr. 1-877-359-8561 and demanded proof of an application, that i intended to verify the authenticity of my signiture, that i never requested a action credit card; nor, received one. They contacted me in 10-31 bankfirst did not honor my demands at our last contact. This is what they said: my balance increased $1.22, that my account is past due, "we have not received payment for the loan

Yes, you read that right! —loan loan?! What loan!!! I never took out a loan!!! That they provided me for the goods, services, and/or cash advances i charged to my account" with what card did i do this on? And when did i receive it?

The letter continues "because your payment record is reported to the major credit bureaus, we feel certain that you will want to clear this up immedialty (is this a threat?) then they offered a 50% settlement. Needless to say bankfirst has yet to earn my trust. The wordidng on this letter&not a form letter&incensed me! I had 10 days to act. If a settlement is not the best option for you, we may have other programs to offer depending on your specific circumstances. (how about document proof) if you choose not to take advantage of this offer further steps may be taken to enforce the terms of the cardholder agreement. I never received a cardholder agreement before this letter, nor after from them.

May 1 bankfirst sent me a copy of our privacy policy. They gave me their website address so i could read it online.

I never went to their website, not with their crimminal disregard. Not with spyware, cookies, viruses. No nada never

My current credit report says something different from them. It is not good. I have retained a lawyer due to this.

Google search bud hibbs / credit repair specialist he has a great website and a log like this with warnings about which companies to avoid.
