I printed a copy of my credit report to find a judgment against me in New York. The plaintiff is reported to be Rushmore Recoveries II LLC. I called the court house and they told me a Mr. Mel Harris filed the judgement. The woman told me it was for $1016.00 from a Bankfirst Action Card account. I don't remember ever having a Bankfirst account.
Who is this man and can he legally file such a judgement while tarnishing my credit score and report? I assume he's a lowlife junk debt buyer. How can I get this rodent off my back. Also, how can I start the process of repairing my credit? I now live in Florida... Is Mel Harris really a lawyer???
