I received a phone call from a man who said I had been chosen to receive $12,500.00 in grant money, he gave me his name as Kim Anderson, he sounded like he was from India, the connection was very poor he kept fading in and out. He verified my name, address and phone number, he repeated 3 or 4 times that I would receive this money 3-4 days after I had given him my bank numbers. THIS set off the alarms in my head! I said "I'm sorry I do not give out my banking information and hung up.
He called back twice but I let the answering machine pick it up, he hung up so as not to leave a message. Because I knew if it was someone else they would have let a message.
I then checked out the address on Streets and Trips, there was a town by that name but the address was unknown. I then did a search and found the report from the gal in Atlanta, GA.
I'm glad that I had the sense to hang up before I gave my banking information.
