A week ago, I got a call from someone claiming to be Bryan Johnson with Government Grants Association. He asked for my husband and I told him my husband wasn't available but I would be glad to take a message. He then asked for my name which he could not pronounce. He sounded as though he was from overseas and I had to keep asking him to repeat himself.
He said he would tell me about the wonderful opportunity he had for my husband and me. He said we were guaranteed $5000.00 or more in free government money. He stressed several times we would never have to pay this money back.
He said he would send us the forms in the mail but he needed to know our checking account information. I asked what for and he said they would either be sending us a check in the mail or depositing it directly into our account. I told him he was not getting the information so he gave me his employee i.D. Number (1877) to put me at ease and repeated how this was all legal.
I told him I wasn't giving him that information and he became very rude and insisted I give it to him. I told him if they had my address they could just mail me a check since that was an option given during his sales pitch. He began yelling it all back at me again and I hung up. That wasn't enough for him because he called back about three times.
I told my husband about it when he came home. I had taken all the information down "Mr. Johnson" had given me, so my husband decided to look it up on the internet. He couldn't find anything for Government Grants Association in the directory so he did an address search. The address the man had told me was for Government Grants and Loans Inc. My husband called the number listed for them and the recording said Government Grants Association.
Everything about this place is suspicious and I'm so glad I didn't give out my information after reviewing other reports on here.
