Keith Davis appears knowledgeable and trustworthy when you meet him. Don't believe it! I hired him to build a deck for me and as I see now he isn't even capable of building a birdhouse.
My nightmare has gone on for 3 months. I was told the job would take 3-5 days. I now have a very unsafe deck hanging off the back of my home. If you bump into the railings they move about a foot. The ramp he built looks like a crooked sliding board and is not possible to walk up and down. The railing on the ramp is warped 2x4'S with a huge gap between the deck and ramp.
The more I complained the less he contacted me. He did not have cheap prices. If I only paid $2000 I would say you get what you pay for. But the job was $5555.71 and I have a deck that can not be used. I'm finding out that it will cost me about $8000 to rip it down and start over.
Also beware of the fact that he collects 3/4 of the money up front. If I had paid partially and during stages of the build I would have saved myself more than 2 months. Because in that 2 months he only showed up about 15 hrs.
