Contracted with individual "Paul Davis" dba A-Better Landscaping and Fencing to build pool deck and place fence around area on 05-02-08. Pre-paid him for materials for job.
He was approximately 3-weeks late after several attempts to get him to build the deck. Deck is now 95% complete and hasn't returned to finish (approximately 2 months).
The pre-paid fence has never shown up. After 07-04-08, he called to tell us that the fence price has increased from $20.00 to $28.00 per foot. This indicates that he never purchased the fence when we pre-paid him for it.
At that time, we told him that we wanted our money back ($4,600) for the fence. He said that he would. For the next 3-weeks, we were given several dates to expect the money to be returned which has all passed.
