I contacted Overlake Apartments on August 2nd 2005 about a claim on my credit file. The office manager "Jody" (last name was not given) notified me that she had no knowledge of the incident and that the property had since then changed hands and there were no records of such an incident.
I told her that the inquiry came about as a delinquent cleaning bill in the amount that continues to accumulate interest. The amount was for $128.00. She told me that their cleaning fees are $25.00 dollars and had no knowledge as to why the bill on the collection was for $128.00.
The billing inquiry came about when my home lender pulled my credit file to see if I was qualified for a home loan, as I had told her. I asked her "Jody" if there was anyone who I could talk to so as to straighten the matter out. At such time she responded, Tell your lender to call me and I'll be happy to tell them Nothing!"
I could see that I was getting nowhere, so I told her thank you and discontinued the call.
