My husband and I bought a water heater from Sears recently. After discussing our existing water heater setup, the salesperson clearly told my husband and me, "Your installation charge is $229." when the Sears installation crew arrived, they presented us with an additional invoice for $765. The sales person knew this would happen and lied about it. This is something I would expect from a two-bit contractor, not a national, name-brand store. Never believe a thing a Sears salesperson tells you.
