Ooked hotel thru Expedia.com, after long day at san diego zoo, drove to the hotel. While driving there I found myself in an undesired area. The area become scary looking, abandon trucking yards with dirty trucks, unpaved road, unlit street lights, several industrial businesses, NO restaurants nearby. But a STATE Prison was nearby. I would not want to stay in a hotel that didn't have any restaurant nearby but a state prison. I called Expedia and aask for a refund and a different hotel she refused. I was traveling with my young 10yr old and I refused to get out of my car in that area. It was pretty bad, I wanted to get out of that area. So needless to say I spent my labor day weekend without a hotel. After driving around I ended up in oceanside with a hotel, that expedia claims they didn't have any rooms left. I am very disappointed at the false advertisement by Holiday Inn Express and Expedia for permitting such false advertisement. WHo in their right mind would want to take a vacation in a hotel near state prison, abandon truck lots and no restaurant in site! I am seeking refund for false advertisement.
