Got billed twice for Expedia hotel booking

Booked a hotel stay for two rooms on Expedia including breakfast. When we arrived at the hotel for check in, the hotel told us the booking did NOT include breakfast and an extra charge would apply to our child. We called Expedia customer service to cancel the reservation and notified the hotel. Upon rebooking the itinerary with Expedia the hotel confirmed that breakfast was included with one room's pricing and dropped the rate for the additional room. Following our check in, Expedia did not cancel the original itinerary.instead Expedia directed the hotel to impose the no show policy for the cancelled itinerary!

In effect we were billed by Expedia and the hotel for the same accommodation!

Incidentally, this is not the first time an Expedia hotel room quote did not match the hotel's charges or services.

We are disputing the duplicate charge with our credit card issuer.
