Apparently it is okay for Thousands of gallons of water to gush from LADWP's meter in front of my house, down the street, and into the storm drain. All the while creating a sink hole from the force water exiting the meter. This is the third day the water has been gushing from the vault. From the prices they charge for the stuff, you figure they would be out in a hurry! No, it's only valuable when we have to pay for it. They said they sent someone out. Note, no big truck showed up, no door tag left, telling us they were there, nothing! Do I think they are lying??? Maybe they were at the local Strip Club, getting their freak on to be bothered with actually stopping a valuable resource from being wasted. Question: What company sends out a trouble truck to address a known problem, aka, leaking meter, without having replacement meters on their truck. Apparently ineffective LADWP. According to their Rep. They have to send someone from the Meter Shop, who will get to me some day this week. Oh Really! When I asked why Bad part is, there is no one to elevate this matter. I work for a Major Utility company and we are required by the Public Utilities Commission to respond within an HOUR. I guess that only applies to private utilities, and not Government Owned Municipalities! When I read that LADWP was 13th, on the Most Hated Company in the nation list, I truly believe it.
