Optiplex 745 System original cost around 1,200.00 three months passed it's 5 yr warranty the Motherboard blows out rendering the system as junk and totally unuseable. How this happens is simple they have designed an etching on top of the capacitors to blow easily if the computer does too much work at once. Once blown the entire system is junk, can be repaired but cost would same as buying another new system. I approached Dell executive branch at the HQ, only to discover their records are completely screwed up with regard to my purchases. They claim the system was returned, when I have the physical unit and have used it for about 4.5 yrs.
This system should be replaced with an upgrade for the problems Dell equipment has caused me in this matter, they of course refuse based on their very very inaccurate records. If I could show you a pic of the problem, and I have one, you would never buy a Dell again. Based on this mess and accute financial loss I cannot and would not recommend anyone to buy a Dell Brand, choose another, one that keeps better records and is willing to work sensibly with their clintele. DO NOT A DELL SYSTEM! Upon request will supply a Picture of Motherboard showing Design Flaw and in my opinion that type of deliberate design and manufacturing with sale to public is defrauding the consumer public.
