When remodeling our kitchen, we decided that we wanted SS appliances to complete the look. After shopping around, we decided on LG at Best Buy, and purchased a Refrigerator and Dishwasher, then went back the next year and purchased a LG Range. After about 2 years, we notice some water occasionally on the floor near the fridge, and after pulling out the fridge, found that the water line to the icemaker had split, spraying water on the wall, and destroying the drywall. We had to tear the wall down to the studs and re-drywall, and were referred to a local repair company for service. It took 3 trips for the service company to decide that the intake valve and all the water lines to the icemaker and filter needed to be replaced. To replace them, they had to 'special order' the parts. It was 3 weeks later when the parts were in, and another week with a loaner refrigerator to have them installed. Not counting the cost of repairing the walls, it was $300 to repair a two year old refrigerator. Now the detergent dispenser on the dishwasher won't latch, or when it does latch, won't open. Calling LG has resulted in a run-around, and is nowhere near resolution. We have been looking at new televisions, and there's no way in hell that I would ever buy another LG product.
