Purchase a new dishwasher in January. Called Gerhard Appliances, where dishwasher was purchased to say the dishwasher wasn't working. They sent a rude repair person out who told us it was the detergent we were using. Stopped using that detergent and changed to what he advised, dishwasher still did not work. They sent another repair person out who said we needed a water pump.
A new water pump was installed, dishwasher still did not work. Called Kitchenaid directly they sent a repair person out who said they couldn't find anything wrong and we need to use the dishwasher cleaner, cleaned the dishwasher and it still didn't work. Another repair person came out and said we needed a new soap dispenser which was replaced last week. Needless to say the dishwasher is still not cleaning the dishes. Called Kitchen Aid and asked for a new dishwasher and they cannot authorize a replacement until they are sure the dishwasher cannot be fixed. I have taken two afternoon off from work for repair appointments and started having the service men come on Saturday, Kitchen Aid advised me today that when the service people come out on Saturday they ar not communicating with Kitchen Aid and that is what is needed so they want me to take more time off from work so the service person can contact Kitchen Aid directly. I do not know why there is not a law that a store should return an appliance within 30 days if it is not working and also a new appliance should not need new parts and still not be considered defective by the manufacturer.
