While online, I was made to understand that I won a reward for ordering a previous item and, would receive a second award for the price of shipping ($5.99). I received both items and when checking my charge card statement, saw that I was charged an additional $98.00, the cost of the second item. I contacted the company, using the phone # on my statement and was told by someone who answered that they would issue me a cancellation # (175595) and to contact their billing dept., [email protected], submit the cancellation # and the company would remedy the situation. After several tries, I have not been able to connect with their billing dept and after reading some of the reviews, realize that I really don't have any other recourse. I am notifying my charge card company to block any furthur billing from Kate Winston Co and the initial company I dealt with for the first item I received. If I have any opportunity to advise anyone of my opinion of these two companies, I will warn against doing any business with them because of their fraudulent business practices.
