Five months ago I bought a $0.95 phone number search from peoplesmart, for which I paid by credit card. Recently reviewing my card statement, I discovered they had been dinging my card $19.95 a month ever since. On going back to their Terms of Service fine print, I find it is all in there, so shame on me for naively assuming they were a legitimate business. Searching scambook and other similar ripoff monitoring websites, it appears peoplesmart is smart enough to do some damage control by giving refunds to some people who are mad enough to do them some damage. I will try my luck tomorrow.
