My computer starting having issues so I googled 'Apple Support' and called the phone number. Someone then walked me through diagnosing what my issue was and said it was a software issue and could have someone remotely fix it. I agreed and paid $249.99. I was then transferred and was walked through the same diagnostic screens and was told I needed to reboot my computer. I didn't have my discs on hand so called back several days later when I had the discs and within 5 minutes they told me it was a hardware issue and that I could purchase an additional $200 to have it shipped to them.
Total scam. And now am left with fighting them for a refund. Also note that when you agree to pay for this, it gets listed on your credit card as a subscription service, meaning that the following year they will recharge your credit card. My credit card company has told me to file a complaint with BBB (which I have done already) and write the company directly. If after that the money has not been refunded my credit card with step in.
