Company represented themselves as Apple Customer Care. Told salesman my computer kept on freezing. He tried to sell me a two year package for hundreds of dollars. I told him I just wanted it fixed one time. He told me that he could do that for $79.99. I agreed. He then puts me on with a so-called "tech" who proceeds to take over my computer. This tech wants to charge me $59.99 for some program and says it will definitely be refunded in two days. After installing all sorts of programs, which I later learn could be downloaded for free from my computer, my computer is not fixed at all. I called up my credit card company two days later to see if the $59.99 charge was refunded. What I found out was that instead of crediting me the money, they were going to be charging me $79.99 every 3 months and $9.99 every three months on the $59.99 charge.in essense, they signed me up for a subscription, which I NEVER AGREED TO.
I put in a dispute with my bank. I then called this company on the phone to try to get my money back. All I can say is that they are LIARS, CROOKS, AND DECEITFUL. They should be shut down. The woman I spoke with knew much about t he dispute process (surprise, surprise) and in a haughty manner, told me that I can dispute all I want. I will still be charged because I agreed to the service.
I placed a BBB complaint and stopped my credit card. I would suggest anyone dealing with this company not do so and if they unwittingly do, cancel credit card at once, dispute charges and file BBB complaint.
This company needs to be stopped from its unethical and deceitful practices.
