I googled apple care phone number and I saw apple tech support so I called the number thinking it was apple. I purchased apple care so I figured I would get my issue resolved at no cost. Well the rep that took my call told me that my issue was not covered by apple care and that this his supervisor had the same issue earlier with a client and asked if he could remotely log into my computer. S I said yes. Ten he said I had a virus and that my apple protection plan did not cover it and I would have to pay 3 installments of 99.00 and 59.00 for apple antivirus. Keep in mind the whole time I think I am talking to apple tech support and even mentioned asked questions regarding what my apple care protection covered. He NEVER said he was not sure exactly because they are not apple he just kept telling me that my apple care did not cover the virus issue. They logged in and never fixed the problem and when I called the 24/7 number to see why it was not fixed I was on hold for 30 minutes so I hung up and called back and entered the promt for new sales and had a rep pick up within 5 seconds. Total scam! These guys actually represent themselves as apple. They said they would refund me the money but I do not trust that they will after reading all the negative comments about these people.
