I was given two groupons as Christmas presents (one from my 75 year old dad). When I went to redeem them, I was told that because I was a previous client of the Palm Beach Laser Center that I couldn't redeem either of them. But on the Groupon it states "If the merchant refuses to honor this voucher because it has expired or for any other reason, Groupon will refund the purchaser the amount paid. Period.". But when I contacted Groupon, I was told that they would not refund the money or apply it towards any other groupon. So Groupon just gets to keep the $200???!!! Isn't that illegal? Or atleast fraud! The money shouldnt just go to Groupon for nothing... No services rendered... Nothing! Money was spent — given as a gift — Groupon should not be allowed to just keep it! Especially since there own fine print says they would refund it... No matter what!
