Time Warner cable recently changed their account numbers and their billing address. I pay all my bills via my bank online. I didnt pay any attention to the billing account number change or address change just the dollar amount owed. I take total ownership of that one. However when I called on December 19th to change something with my service the automated message said I was past due... I immediatly went to my bank website to see if check had cleared. It had cleared TWC East account on 12/14. I have the check image. I spent an hour and a half on the phone that day and finally got someone who had a clue... But I still had to go fax the cancled check to company. I did this and included all the information they needed and also got the fax confirmation back that it had gone through. December 28th... My cable gets shut off due to non-payment. WOW! After they had told me this would not happen... So... I had to call them back again and wait on hold for 10 minutes and I again finally got to someone in billing that could help me. What really made me angry is when he had said that your old account number was given to someone else and they have to research that and pull that credit from the others account. I'm sorry but I work in Operations for a large bank and this switch of account numbers is very poor planning on TWC part... They actually reassigned the account numbers? WOW! I have been a customer of TWC for a long time and this is the worst customer service I have ever had... And the issue is still not resolved. So while my account is showing past due (even though they deposited my check into their account on 12/14th) my cable is being shut off and someone else has a credit of $242.98, lucky them that they got my account number.
