Bill's Paid, but TW is going to Shut me OFF

Got a call from Cable. According to them, my service is scheduled for disconnection for non-payment. My bill is paid, matter of fact, it's overpaid by fifteen dollars.

Well, they haven't received it, so they want my credit card number, so it will be paid NOW, which will help me avoid disconnection, and my having to not only pay the bill, but a deposit and re-connect fee.

They want me to fax them a copy of my bank statement, proving I made the payment. I'm not paying for a fax, and my bank statement is none of their business.

I gave them the check number and the confirmation number.

Notice from Bank:

Check #XX46 from your Main Acct XX7221 account was mailed to Time Warner Cable-Northeast for receipt by 12/07. Funds for the payment will be withdrawn from your account when Time Warner Cable-Northeast cashes the check.

I got a call from TWC a few minutes ago, wanting a payment, and if I sent it, I need to fax proof.

That bill has been PAID. Why should I have to now prove that you got the payment, when obviously, someone at TWC hasn't done THEIR job, and posted the payment to my account???

I called the bank, they said they mailed that payment

I don't write checks out of my checkbook, I pay my bills through my bank's online services, always have.

I opened this account 3yrs ago, I can prove that my payments have been consistently paid through PNC BANK. I'm keeping up with my end of the deal.
Why should I give them any more money, when they've mishandled what I've already sent them???

Go ahead, Cable... Shut me off... I dare you!
