I called time warner cable's 24 hr customer service line so I could cancel service (I was moving out of the area). I expected to be on hold for quite some time since I called at 5:30pm and knew they would be busy. So I put my cell on speaker phone and went about my business. I was holding for 1 hr and 20 mins which is even longer than I thought.

That in itself wouldn't have been too bad but when it finally rang in I didn't get a person... instead I got a computer voice giving me the option to pay my balance by phone and then once I did that It said "thankyou for calleing... Goodbye" and my call disconnected. An hour and 20 mins for that! And I didn't even get to do what I originally wanted. So 2 days later i decided to try again. I had the option to put in my home phone so my account would be brought up... So i did. I was then told that my account was past due and my service was scheduled to be disconnected the next business day. Even though i was calling to cancel... I still didnt want it "disconnected" #1-it would look bad on my credit report and #2- I had paid my account 100%... I called the bank and my payment had cleared the bank the same day that i called the 1st time. When i called them back i got a different person who told me that not only was my account paid in full but there was a $192 credit to my account. Their system must really be jacked up. I think they're just too big of a company for their own good. If you have achoice between TWC and a local co... Pick the local
