Upon entering we were not greeted by anyone but after a few minutes the hostess lead us to a booth in the bar area. Our server was Danielle which we soon realized was the bartender as well. She was very friendly and suggested the half price bottle of wine. She poured tastes of a new malbec brand they featured which we got a bottle of and suggested tapas to start. We passed on appetizers but ordered salads before dinner.
After she took our orders the bar filled with guests and she was doing laps trying to touch every table. She seemed to have everything under control but I would have liked to see her get some help. We recieved our bread and salads at the same time. Our food was brought by another server who didn't offer us cheese but at least our order was correct and hot. She did stop by to clear salads and pour us each a refill glass of wine which is when we mentioned understaffing. She explained its usually not this busy at once but asked if she could do anything to make our experience more enjoyable. We expressed our understanding but she wasn't doing anything wrong this was clearly a bad decision on management.
She never appeared frazzled or to even break a sweat but she was definately doing the job of three people. She just kept moving and kept smiling. It was amazing to see her in action but I'm sure there had to be a manager available to offer her some assistance because no server should have to juggle all that I saw her do last night. I never even saw a manager come into the bar area.
When I went to the restroom the restaurant was a mess. Tables were dirty all over the dinning room and it appeared servers are left to clean tables themselves or maybe the busser was on break? In the restroom 2 of the four stalls were out of toilet paper and the small stack of paper towels to dry your hands was almost gone.
This location is definately in need of some staff and a visible manager.
