SMUD did some underground work beneath a sidewalk very near the corner of Sunrise Vista and Sunrise East maybe a year, year and a half ago. They finished by placing a silver metal cover in two pieces, maybe 10 feet long, over their work. The two covers are not flat, so that anyone walking over them pushes them down, making a very loud noise. This noise makes many persons walking over the covers anxious; is this door coming apart, maybe hurting me or my children? The noise is unacceptable.
Would SMUD allow this to occur on work outside the homes of John DiStasio and Frankie McDermott or SMUD directors? I'm sure you would not. Please fix this annoyance. Over a year of this loud noise is too long.
