I got a bill that was double as a result of SMUD installing their smart meter in the later part of May. I have a newer home with energy efficient appliances and I keep my Air within the 78 degree mark. I have never had a bill over $90 and suddenly I get a bill almost double that when the meter was installed. I called SMUD to discuss but I was not satisfied with the answer that I got and the rep told me my bill may be even higher. They are totally ripping me off and I am NOT happy.
