Fraudulenty denied 100 dollar rebate online based

I will try to make my experience as short as possible. I know that many people have had problems with this company, and i really hope that a representitive is reading this and can come to the rescue.

First of all, i used to work at circuit city so i was able to take advantage of retailaccess.com promotions. After taking 3 100 question quizes i was able to purchase a motherboard cpu combo for $317 [after tax and shipping] with a $100 dollar rebate.

I ordered the item and recieved it quickly through tigerdirect.com. CPU and motherboard were attached already and there was no UPC or anything it all came in a brown cardboard box. My rebate form requested 3 things -

1. A recent paystub from circuit city
2. The product invoice
3. The rebate form itself.

Thats it.

So i sent it all in, and after about 90 days i emailed to check the status. The first email i got said that my rebate had been approved. EXCELLENT! Then, the next day i recieved a second response from onrebate customer service stating that they have no record of me whatsoever. WHAT!? I can provide both emails to anybody who wants them, they refuse to reply to my questions regarding this mixup.

The deadline for the rebate was approaching quickly but i knew i had enough time to resubmit my information. I did it through their website this time. I printed out their form with tracking number and sent in everything that was required in the terms listed at the bottom. However, the top of the form was different. There is a square with the words, TAPE UPC/BARCODE HERE. It appeared to be standard on every form and i figured that they would immedietly understand that this was a private offer [it says right at the top] and that no UPC is provided, only and invoice. Same 3 things required as before. No upc is requested in the terms just like the first time. The terms actually address the individual rebate whereas the top of the form appears to be standardized and assumes a UPC in every case. This is where i believe the mistake happened!

Today i recieved an email and heres what it said:

Your rebate status has been updated!

Your rebate for: $100 AMD EPP Program Bundle (Private Offer) has been processed.

Your new status is: DENIED

Reason for denial: INSUFFICIENT DOCUMENTATION - NO UPC

You will receive no further update on this rebate.

If you have any questions regarding this decision, please send an email to [email protected] and refer to tracking number: 1244617683932613332

This makes no sense! The purchase was made through tigerdirect.com. I can provide the order number to any representitive who asks for it. Onrebate.com is owned by tigerdirect.com! They could easily verify that my invoice with order number is valid! This is a huge rebate and this type of mistake is not fair to the customer! I will take every action necessary to have this mistake corrected.

If anybody has any advice, please let me know. Thanks a million
