Dta - customer service bad

After two hours on the phone with Comcast, I have gotten various conflicting information about connecting the DTA to a Series II TiVo. Bottom line, Comcast says either it will work with no problem, absolutely won't work or, best of all, I need to rent more equipment from them to make it work. I don't want incur any additional expense for a service I already pay for.

I'll probably just leave my system as is and when I stop getting service, cancel.
