I contacted Mr. Dumont from an ad in our local paper. He came to my home & advised he would have to take my computer with him to repair it. I was having problems with the memory. He replaced my hard drive with a very old used one. He replaced my motherboard with a 1997 used one that was not compliant. He put in a "no name" processor that was not compliant. He took my sound card. He replaced my CD Rom with one that had bad chips. He took my CPU fan. He lost all my programs & personal files. He said he made my computer Y2K compliant-however he did not. He took parts also from my mother's computer including a 15 inch color monitor & Canon printer.
I paid him a total of $990.00 cash plus all the parts & ended up with 2 useless computers which I had to replace. After all this, he would not reply to repeated emails, phone calls nor my certified letters. I filed a small claims with the court but he had only a PO box number so I could not serve him by a process server & he would not sign for the registered certified letters. Nothing ever came of it.
I need my money back plus the parts he took plus the money I paid out for 2 new computers. Total amount lost is $2400.00
