When a seemingly legit Security program appeared on my computer a few days ago, it informed me that my computer had been infected with a serious Trojan virus. It instructed me to purchase their product and use it to scan my computer. I used my bank card and divulged all my personal info to purchase the bogus Security software and I let it scan my computer. Their icon then appeared on my desktop and their homepage also appeared on my computer at startup. The thing that tipped me off about a possible problem was later when my Webroot Spy Sweeper program detected a malicious program on my computer known as Rogue Security Products. When I instructed Spy Sweeper to quarantine Rogue then I noticed that the bogus Security icon disappeared from my desktop and no longer appears when I start up my computer. However Im scared because I used my bank card and personal info to purchase that program. It cost me $51 charged by REALGOLDSOFT BAKU. I immediately cancelled my bank card and requested a new one to protect my account. I am also worried about all the other info I stupidly provided such as my name, address etc.
