WebMoney Fraudulent Billing and Cancellation Procedures

Alternative Funding (AF) is a web site that offers online subscriptions to information about entrepreneurial finance sources. As with most web publications, they offer a no cost trial subscription. They assert that if you cancel before the end of the trial period, the subscription will be canceled and your bank or credit card account will not be debited.
I signed up for a trail subscription to the Alternative funding publication on 9/17 @ $29.95 and received an email receipt confirming my order the same day. On 9/25/1009, I noticed a debit item appearing on my bank statement for "WebMoney Training" @ $69.97. I called the number associated with it and the rep told me that WebMoney was a companion product that I had ordered along with the Alternative Funding subscription I had order. It was a print product and would be coming shortly by USPS.
I informed her that I had not ordered any companion product and didn't want it. She answered me with some unresponsive double talk. To avoid any further misunderstanding, I instructed her to cancel all subscriptions in my name immediately and to email me confirmation of her action on my request. Though this was well within the trial period but, I erred in failing to get a verbal confirmation number from her before I hung up.

I never received any printed material from AF in the mail, but on 10/14 I noticed a debit item for Alternative Funding in the amount of $29.95. I called immediately and demanded they cancel both items and that they are responsible for any NSF items against my account occurring before they return the money. I further instructed her to give me her name, a confirmation number and follow-up our conversation with an email cancellation receipt.
They credited my account with the $29.95 on 10/16. I finally received a personal check for the the $69.97 delivered by express mail 12/02.
I incurred one NSF of $34.00. With the help of Ms. Ellen S. Carrel in the Ohio Attorney General's Office, I am informed that they will be forwarding me an additional check in the amount of $34.00 on 12/07.
