This company uses very deceptive rebate practices. I purchased their software in November and sent in for their rebate.
The terms of the rebate stated that the promotion ran from November 1 through November 30.in late December Pinnacle ran another promotion on the same product with the same rebate amount. Having two computers I bought a second package and sent in for the rebate. After waiting the 8-10 weeks and recieving no rebates, I called.
Pinnacle told me that they were sorry about the delay and I'd be recieving my rebate soon. "Rebate" I asked? There were two. At that point they said "Sorry, you only qualify for one". They further went on to explain that they simply extended the original promotion rather than creating a new one.
This is an extremely deceptive practice. My original paperwork shows the promotion period being between November 1 and Novermber 30. When November 30 arrives, that promotion is ended and any other promotions are to be considered as new. I tried to explain this in vain to them.
Needless to say I feel violated by their deceptive practices and urge anyone planning to buy Pinnacle Software to do so with the utmost caution.
