I bought the Mcafee total protection 2010. Which had a $70.00 mail in rebate offer after purchace price. After waiting 1 month for the rebate to arrive, I started to get curious so, I e-mailed their web site and got apologizes.". Where working on it and here is your tracking number" I was told. After 2 months of waiting for the rebate, I contacted customer service and got more apologizes. It was more of the same after 3 months. 4 months go by and I am now calling the company for some answers. And asking " where is my long over due rebate"? I was told that that promotion was no longer valid and neither was my rebate. I'm so angry at Mcafee that I will never use their products again. The operator on the other side said"that she will create another record of my purchase to place me back in the system.'
So, this is how Mcafee uses their promotions. You buy the product to get the rebate, and then they stall your rebate until time runs out and promotion is no longer a valid promotion. Hence, it's a valid reason for them not to send you the rebate that you were untiled too in the very beginning. Come on Mcafee do something...
