Sent bill for adult online service that they installed without my knowledge

Much to my relief, there are several hundred complaints about Alyon Technologies... One morning while I was online going through my email about a month ago, a pop-up window for an adult site came up & my system locked up for a few minutes. My attempts at just closing the window were unsuccessful, so in order to unfreeze it, I had to just close my internet connection. The next day when I logged on to my computer, I noticed that a "dialer" icon was on the screen, which I was baffled as to how it got there & immediately removed it.

I didn't think anything unusual of the incident, as I occasionally have have freeze-ups with a dial-up connection... Then I got a bill for $25 in the mail a few days later (which is probably small potatoes compared to what some other people have received). I called the customer service line, which only refers you to their website address & then cuts you off, so it's impossible to get a hold of someone to actually speak to. I then emailed this issue, and got a reply of a very long, elaborate list of how I could not have gotten a bill unless I downloaded the dialer & clicked on it (which I explicitedly denied ever happened)... Also, that I had to send in a NOTARIZED! Affidavit to dispute this, which I did, considering I had the convenience of having notaries at my place of work.

Their response didn't acknowledge at all that this was some kind of technical fluke that happened without any interaction on my part whatsoever.instead, I got another 4-page explanation on the rules & how a bill cannot be generated without downloading the dialer, & also that there are steps so that a call cannot be made in error-information which I found to be completely UNTRUE in my situation. It seems apparent that this website downloads the dialer by itself so that it can incur bills to unsuspecting consumers... Perhaps forcing them to pay out of fear or shame!

I pondered the issue of looking shameful if I brought this issue up with the appropriate agency, but what's to be ashamed of - hundreds of innocent others are being (censored) by this company... If you are, speak up & DO NOT PAY THEM A SINGLE PENNY!!!
