Alyon Technologies is a Major internet problem.
In the Past Due statement that I got in the mail, the first I'd heard from them, it states "The internet Website was accessed AFTER the following steps were taken: User agreed to the terms and conditions of the diler by clicking the 'I Agree' box. User made connection by clicking 'Connect' after the dialer was downloaded to the hard drive."
When I called the Customer Service phone number, I was told that someone else must of accessed their site from my computer, using my phone line and thus incuring $41.42 in charges. I live alone. No one but me, myself, and I uses this Computer.
When I suggested that I was not going to Pay, The poor sap on the phone started "Quoting" the laws, about (censored). When I accessed their website, thru a "Pop Up", and saw that it was a pay site, I tried to Back Out, but the site locked my computer up, by downloading pop unders at a rate that my processor could not handle, and while it was trying to sort it out, and I was Panicing, the auto dialer slipped in the back door and was charging me $4.99 per minute.
I finally Unplugged from the wall. There is no way "In Hell" they (Alyon) will ever see my money. The only problem is, they report "Us" to the "Credit Reporting" guys and "WE" all loose in the end. Its not fair.
