I purchased a dell inspiron 1420 in December. Between that time and the end of May - my hard drive failed and I was instructed by customer service to restore my hard drive to factory settings.
The fourth time this occured they agreed to send me a refurbished hard drive. It was shipped on May 27.
I installed this hard drive and yesterday it or something else failed and my computer can not go through the start -up phase. I was on the phone with technical support for over 4 hours - they did not call back when they promised and after all that time i was asked to restore my hard drive to factory settings.
I have refused - now they want me to send in my computer/laptop and a new hard drive that they are going to send me back to them for analysis. (I still do not understand why they are sending me the second hard drive)
I want a new computer or my money back and they so far have refused. I find this level of service unacceptable.
