Hearing impaired 90 year old crashes Dell hard drive. Dell insisit on phone-based trouble shooting (90y finds someone to help him as he can not hear, and can not communicate with INDIA) finally after all of the troubleshooting, it is determined that the hard drive needs to be replaced. Dell says that the
"LimitedWarranty, At-HomeService and HardwareWarranty Support" does not cover someone installing the new Hard drive and all new software.
After 3months... Dell mailed the new Hard drive and software to the 90year old hearing impaired. He then had to take the computer to a repair store for installation, of course the software is not working properly. He is so upset that his computer does not work and he can not use his email for communication. I think it is exceptional that this man can use a computer... I think it is awful that Dell expects anyone especially a senior to be able to replace a hard drive and install all new software!
