Geek Squad are a bunch of geeks!

On June 9, I took my computer -a Dell - serial number CGFB611 - to have data recovered after it had crashed. The person taking my order told me that there would be no problem and I should pick up the disk and the computer on June 12. They charged me 99.00 in advance.

On June 13, I went back to the store and found that they were not finished with computer. But, the clerk assured me they were on verge of "burning" the data on a disk.

On June 16 - fully one week later - I visited the store and was told they "were burning the disk" and they would call me later that night. I told they them this is the same story they told me every time I had called. I demanded to speak to the manager. He would not meet with me, but told the clerk I that I had two options. I could take my computer and get a full refund, or wait and later that day it should be fixed. He said that I should except a call later that night.

Late on June 17, after receiving no call, I went to Best Buy to pick up my computer and get my refund. No work had been performed. I found out from another clerk that the machine used to extract data was broke and had been broke for several days.

Best Buy lied to me and wasted my time as well took my money which had not been credited to credit card account yet.
