Oh I wished I had gotten the Internet a long time ago it would have saved me from at least 3 different situations of losing money - One costing me $267.00 and probably ruined credit - One costing me over $2700.00 and the last and most expensive costing me over $100,000- But for now I'll stick with telling about my experiance with a Geek Squad Guy from Best Buy from Tulsa, Ok Store. I bought a whole Computer Sytem, I mean the works and spent well over $2500.00 for everything and had bought and paid for a geek squad guy to come to my house - not only was he a little late, He ripped me off by over charging me with his little scam he had going on.
First he told me I should have recovery disk made so if something were to ever happen to my computer I would have my recovery data/disk whatever - well not knowing anything about these recovery disk he told me he could do it for me it would cost me an extra $69.00 so I said ok well ya know I had his services for 2-3 hours however longed I paid for can't remember off hand anyway - so he went to the store - didn't charge for the time he was gone and not charging for the package of cd's he bought he needed 2 to make my recovery disk and anyway he got everything set-up and insatlled and went to start making my rec cd's and he waited and waited and waited and told me it was a slow process and could take awhile well then after wasting all that time on those things and his time was almost up with me, I still needed to ask him some?
Regarding my computer and have him show me some stuff he said he would split the time with me and only charge me half or another $69.00 on top of what I had already paid for him to make my rec cd's and so I said ok being the idiot I. Am and then he tells me he can and will go ahead and make or finish off my rec cd's at the store - so more or less he knew the whole dang time that he could make those rec cds's for me at the store - but instead he sat here and wasted and used up almost all my time that I had already paid for when I bought all of my stuff - and then charged me not only to make those cd's but I paid for more of his time. He did give me e receipt for making the rec cd's - and on the paper it say's Restore cd creation!
Ok whatever - doesn't make sense to me and he didnt' give me a receipt for the time I had to pay extra. So after thinking al this over and thinking I had been ripped off by this guy I call the store and talk with a supervisor who said that as far as charging me another $69.00 for more time that shouldn't have happened and said that the guy was there and she would talk to him and call me back well the phone rang and I thought it would be her like she said - it was him I wasn't prepared for him to have called and he said you had some concern with needing a reciept for the exter time blah, blah, blah and I was like yeah I need a receipt so he said he would make one out or up! And I could come pick it up, so I did and all it say's is add-on Misc service - I wasnt happy but decided I would never use Geek Squad again
